These were made yesterday, for today! Included are a peach pie, dark chocolate cupcakes with mint filling and chocolate candy transfers on top AND another black forest cake. (I think this might be my new favorite cake!)

Black Forest/Pea Pods
Two different orders this weekend, last two before vacation!
Black forest cake made with Kirsch soaked cherries and stabilized whipped cream. The sides are covered with chocolate shavings. I really wanted to eat this cake when I was done with it! It was made for my friend Tricia's husband, Robby. Happy Birthday Robby!
Vanilla cupcakes with fondant pea pods made for a baby shower. The buttercream on the cupcakes is vanilla colored brown to match the colors of the nursery which are sage green and brown. Love the way these turned out!

Bananas!
I made these cupcakes for our friend Tyler who requested/suggested them. Tyler has a life-long tradition of eating a banana cake (from a very specific bakery in Canada) on special occasions and he thought it might be good for me to take a stab at it.
I made two versions, one with toasted coconuts and pecans baked in (and on top) and one plain, with banana flavoring only.
These came out GREAT and I'm definitely adding them to my menu. I'm very pleased with the result and taste. I used banana cream candy flavoring instead of banana extract to achieve the taste I was going for. Recently I've noticed that when using extracts, my cupcakes seem to "sink" a bit. Not so with the flavoring - cupcakes came out perfectly fluffy and delicious!

NYE cupcakes
Made these for the black and white NYE party we threw.
Vanilla raspberry and dark chocolate mint cupcakes with fondant cut-outs on top. I used a paint brush to flick the silver luster dust (plus lemon extract) on each cupcake to give it the "splattered" look. Each cupcake completed with one silver dragee.
