Murphy Light

Thanks to the magic of Facebook, this cake was created for one my high school classmates' birthday!

This was a pretty fun cake to make. Didn't Rodney do a great job of carving out the right shape? That guy is definitely becoming a big part of this whole thing. Aside from carving the cake, he also made me a template to look at of the word "Murphy" in the Coors font. I free handed it as best I could and I'm pretty happy with the results!

i have a question for you, i am doing a camo cake for my brother in law, and I was wondering how you did yours? I was going to lay out all my fondant on top of each other with a good layer of powder sugar in the middle, and cut a camo print thru all the layers, and then piece them one by one on the cake, and some how smooth it out so it looks good, haha, will you e-mail me at kwbale@gmail.com and give me some tips on how to do this, and how you go yours to look so great! thanks,
Wendy

Lot of fun Steph...is there any cake you can't do? I think not. Where do you get your inspiration? What fuels your creativity? Do you plan your cakes or do they evolve from an "idea"? Curious to know your process. Fantastic work as always!
